JOB ROLE PROFILING

Job Role Profiling is a process in which the activities and requirements of a specific Job or Job Role are defined in specific, behavioral terms.  The process begins with the identification of the specific activities/tasks that are performed in the role, continues with the identification and definition of the skills/competencies and related proficiency or performance level required for excellence, and completes the process with the identification of the Qualities and Attributes and Work Orientation Factors that will ensure an individual’s success in the Role.

The completed Profiles are the nucleus of an integrated response to an organization's human capital needs and talent management plan. Properly constructed, the data derived from the Job Profiling work may be used for any of a host of activities...all spinning off of a common skill/competency database. Most job profile data allows you to focus on only one HR function - our format provides a benchmark for the following functions:

  • Skill/Competency Assessment
  • Recruitment and Selection
  • Career Pathing and Succession Management
  • Career Development and Career Management
  • Behavioral and developmental coaching and feedback
  • Learning and Development Tactics
  • Targeted Learning Plans
  • Mentoring
  • Rewards and Recognition processes
