Hi-Impact Mentoring®

HI-IMPACT MENTORING ®

What is it?
Mentoring is a dynamic association between an individual who needs to learn, the Mentee, and another who is capable and willing to help and guide the learner, the Mentor.

What does it do?
Our Hi-Impact Mentoring® methodology, combined with technology, is vital to any organization interested in implementing a mentoring initiative.  The technology does not drive the methodology -- the methodology drives and is supported by the technology.

Mentoring allows an organization to tap the wealth of knowledge and experience existing with its people and with the technology, individuals can coordinate all of the mentoring process activities.  No longer is it necessary to search multiple sources for information needed for a specific activity.  All forms, assessments, training materials, tracking materials, and social networking tools are located in one methodology and one platform for easy access by participating Mentor-Mentee pairs, Managers and Process Coordinators.

How does it benefit the organization?
The Hi-Impact Mentoring® methodology contributes to the organization’s success by:

  • providing specific, targeted development opportunities
  • retaining skilled talent
  • improving the talent pipeline
  • decreasing the learning curve – individuals are learning and developing faster
  • providing cost-effective and just-in-time development
  • tracking talent development as related to organizational needs.

How does it benefit the Mentee?
Hi-Impact Mentoring® methodology matches the Mentee with an appropriate Mentor who can provide pertinent skill/competency and knowledge expertise that relates to the Mentee’s work, issues and developmental needs. The Mentee receives individualized attention which provides a high degree of confidence through guidance, assistance and support from the Mentor – it creates a learning advantage. The Mentee has access to a sounding board in a safe environment, obtains learning targeted to specific needs on own learning style.

How does it benefit the participating Mentor?
Hi-Impact Mentoring® methodology identifies Mentees that can benefit from his/her areas of expertise. The Mentor may obtain a renewed interest in his/her job and obtain career satisfaction by contributing to the growth and development of others

How does it benefit the participating Mentee’s Manager?
Hi-Impact Mentoring® methodology ensures developmental opportunities are supporting work unit goals/objectives in a cost-effective and just-in-time basis. It allows individuals to develop without being absent from the work environment, provides alternatives to classroom/workshop training and expands the pipeline of promotable people to support succession planning.
